A Marvelous Mouth

This summer, trade sweat running your mascara and endless nightly scrubbing to remove waterproof eyeliner in exchange for a bold statement lip. Nix the eye makeup to keep the look balanced and keep the face fresh and clean. Think dewy skin. One swipe of clear mascara on your lashes and brows and nothing more. This season's statement lips are powerful and electric. Red is always classic but if you're not the shy type opt for a red orange of even a day glo pink. If your pout is on the thin side, layer a gloss on top. If not, go for a matte look. This look works great for day and night. To dress the it up even more, add a light dusting of loose powder on your eyelids, temples and cheekbones. Lastly, don't forget to smile!

Shu Uemura's rouge unlimited pink collection offers fantastic shades to compliment every skin-tone. Not to mention it contains cermacides, a protective lipid found in most cell membranes. In short, this will keep your mouth safe and soft. It also contains jojoba seed oil and shea butter to aid in the softness. Nars Lipstick offers several semi matte shades that look amazing. It contains Vitamin E, a lipid soluble substance which has been proven to speed the healing of wounds. Think soft lips with vibrant color. Have tons of fun with colors Funny Face (pictured), Jungle Red, and Heat Wave (a red orange). Nars Semi Matte Lipstick $24 each.

YSL Rouge Volupte contains beeswax for a rich smooth formula that will keep moisture in. It comes in several radiant colors that are sure to help you rock the bright lip all summer long. 1. Oh, love! I just got a new bright lipstick for summer from Mac- its' more on the orange-y side, but I think it looks great now that I'm a little tanner. Even though my boyfriend calls it my Drunk Grandma Lipstick
